The Globe Cordillera Challenge 2012 featured 3 challenging stages to choose from according to biker’s riding skills. First stage were for “not so newbies”, the next were for advanced riders and the last stage were for hard core mountain bikers. I heard from the few that only 50% of the participants finished Stage 3. The event were participated by more than 250 bikers and supporters.
The assembly started by checking our bikes by the assigned crews of Globe, then waiver signing. The ride started as early as 6:20 from Burnham Park going to Sto Tomas, Tuba, Baguio.
I was able to see old and new folks of mountain bikers back in Manila and from North Luzon mountain bikers as I pedaled to Mount Kabuayo trail. Some photos posted here.
Me with Makati Mountain Vikings. I think I smiled too much 🙂
The finish line at Kabuyao Elementary School:)
The project led by Cordillera Conservation Trust in rebuilding our forest needs to be sustained. Let’s help together save our mountains, this is our playground and the playground of the next generation.
Again, congratulations to Globe Telecoms, hardcore marshals, medics, organizers and JP Alipio for making this event successful and safe.
Thumbs up again! Mabuhay ang Cordillera! More photos in this link.
