Finally here in Ormoc City, where vacation begins.
After the nightmare we had in Tacloban, the next day, we went to Ormoc Centrum along C. Aviles St. for our registration in Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival 2011 (TLBF). I registered to Cross Country, Photo Contest and Pineapple Trail Run. This is my first TLBF and I want to make the most of it.
There are several announcement posted on the wall at the registration area. There were lists of prizes, race details, directional maps and more. Among the posts, the invitation from Ormoc City Tourism caught my attention, it is called “Ormoc City Tour” for free. The tour package is to travel Ormoc City and visit Lake Danao as it is scheduled in two (2) sessions, the 0800 and 1200 tour.
We chose the morning tour so that we can be able to do track reading in the afternoon. The tourist guide, Jesus Manuel Horca II arrived around 8:30 in the morning. He prepares a tourist van for us but we decided to have it bike all the to Lake Danao. According to Mr. Horca, its around 20 kilometers of biking with gradual climbs on paved roads, and he added that pit stops will be in every intersection where tourist van is parked. He briefed us about few information about Lake Danao as same information I read in Wikipedia :).
We followed the signals and bike it all the way.

We had fun on our way to downtown because the downhill part was awesome. Thank you so much TLBF organizers and Ormoc City Tourism officers.
