BISAKLAT: Gulong at Dunong
11 September, 2011
Antipolo, Rizal
Last February this year, Philmofo cyclist rode the trails of Sta. Inez, Tanay, Rizal and held a big gift giving ride for the Aetas together with Ms. Kara David with her Project Malasakit. Around 55 Dumagat families were benefited in this project.
On September 11, in celebration of Philmofo’s 3rd anniversary with another social conscious project, BISAKLAT – Bisikleta at Aklat, a book donation and story-telling activity for 100 pre-school aged children in Philmofo’s chosen community. The primary objective of this project for the children is to develop love of reading, to give them exposure to books that are written in the language they understand thus, they become more driven to learn. Adarna Books headed by Ms. Ani Almario had donated number of their storybooks to be brought on the first maiden ride.
Me and the organizers are looking forward to have this project done regularly with the help of our fellow bikers, runners, teams and institutions. We hope we can make it possible.

hi Jake,
No registration needed. We need bikers as storytellers for this outreach program. It will be a half day ride only. Please catch the details at Philmofo.org
I really want to join in this event! Unfortunately, my bike project is still not complete. 🙁
Hi Jenny. I’ll be glad to join. I’m also working for the learning library, so tell me if I can help further in any other way.
we are looking for storytellers and sponsorship for refreshments. Thanks Ms. Aileen.
Can definitely do storytelling, also if you need a little workshop on storytelling to some other volunteers. 🙂
Thanks Ms. Aileen. We’re glad to have you in this project. See you soon.
